We take care to ensure that your order is supplied correctly and that our products meet the quality standards required under applicable South African consumer legislation.
Subject to the exceptions provided under applicable South African consumer legislation (including made-to-order products, products likely to deteriorate, foodstuffs, beverages, goods for everyday consumption, goods whose price depends on market fluctuations, unsealed audio or video recordings, newspapers, magazines, books and periodicals), you may return your purchase within 7 calendar days of delivery. To qualify for a refund, the product must be returned in accordance with the return procedure below and must be unused, in its original condition and original packaging. If, after receiving your order, you decide that you no longer want the product, please retain the original packaging and do not use or open the product.
If you receive a product that you did not order, please leave it unopened and in its original packaging and contact us as soon as possible at orders@ernieelswines.com. We will arrange collection of the incorrect product and deliver the correct product to you at no additional cost.
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery. If a product arrives damaged, please contact us promptly at orders@ernieelswines.com and provide your order number, details of the damage and photographs where possible. Once the damage has been confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate replacement or refund and cover any reasonable collection or return costs.
If a product is found to be defective within 6 months of delivery, you may return it in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. Once the product has been inspected and confirmed to be defective, you may choose either:
• a full refund; or
• a replacement product.
Where a product is confirmed to be defective, we will reimburse or cover reasonable return shipping costs.
If the product is found not to be defective, we will contact you before returning it to you. You may be responsible for the reasonable cost of returning the product.
If the quantity of products delivered does not match your order, please notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery so that we can investigate and resolve the matter. This notification period does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer legislation.

Please include:
• your order number or proof of purchase;
• the reason for the return;
• the purchase and delivery dates;
• photographs of any damage or defect, where applicable; and
• your banking details if an electronic funds transfer is required.
Please do not return any products without contacting us first. We will provide instructions on how and where they should be returned.
Once your returned product has been received and assessed, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved. Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible or by electronic funds transfer within 30 days of approval, unless a shorter period is required by law. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take additional time for the refunded amount to appear in your account.
