Our Tasting Room, Restaurant and Chilli Shed, are available for Functions and Intimate Gatherings, depending on your event criteria. Exclusive use of the Tasting Room and Restaurant is only permitted for Evening Functions, held from 18h30 to 23h00, Wednesday to Saturday. All daytime Functions at the Tasting Room and Restaurant (between 10h00 and 16h00) are classified as Intimate Bookings and will take place in spaces that remain open to the public (non-exclusive). Our Chilli Shed is the only venue available during the day for exclusive events.
Reservations for all groups larger than eight people are essential and will only be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit.
Please note: Ernie Els Wines does not host weddings, ceremonies of any kind, large-scale events, or 21st birthday celebrations. Enquiries for such requests will be ignored.
Our Restaurant is available for exclusive use during the evening (18h30-23h00).
The Restaurant can host evening functions for 20 to 80 guests in Summer and 20 to 50 guests in Winter. For groups smaller than 50, a seasonal surcharge will apply in addition to the venue hire fee.
Deposit: Pre-payment of 50% of the invoiced total to secure the reservation
Food offering: A minimum of three courses is required, with a choice of three starters, three mains, and two desserts. Reduced Menu to be provided before booking.
Our Tasting Room is available for exclusive use during the evening (18h30-23h00).
The Tasting Room can accommodate Evening Functions for 30 to 120 guests. For groups of up to 80 guests, a minimum spend of R395/per person applies, in addition to the venue hire fee. Functions surpassing 120 guests must book out both Restaurant & Tasting Room.
Deposit: Pre-payment of 50% of the invoiced total to secure the reservation
Food offering: Canape Menu or Harvest Table. Menu pricing starts at R395/per person. SQ for specialty dishes.
We can accommodate 8 to 20 guests for Intimate Bookings at the Restaurant during the day, subject to availability.
Our Restaurant is not available for exclusive use during the day (10h00-16h00) and will remain open to the public.
Deposit: Pre-payment of R380/per person
Food offering: A minimum of two courses from the Restaurant Menu is required, with a choice of starters & mains, or mains & desserts.
We can accommodate 8 to 30 guests for Intimate Bookings at the Tasting Room during the day, subject to availability.
Our Tasting Room is not available for exclusive use during the day (10h00-16h00) and will remain open to the public.
Deposit: Pre-payment of R380/per person
Food offering: Limited to existing Tasting Room Grillworks Menu. No custom food item requests.
Our Chilli Shed is only available for exclusive use during the day (10h00-15h00). Venue closes at 16h00.
The Chilli Shed can host small Daytime Functions for 18 to 20 guests. Please note that this venue only has outdoor seating and does not have sufficient seating in case of inclement weather. Seasonal rates apply.
Deposit: Pre-payment of R250/per person to secure the reservation
Food offering: Assorted Pastries, Sandwiches & Sweet Treats. See Chilli Shed Menu.

The following will apply to cancelations prior to scheduled Exclusive Evening Event date:
• More than 30 Days before scheduled event date (Full deposit to be refunded)
• 20 Days before scheduled event date (50% of the Deposit to be refunded)
• 14 Days before scheduled event date (No Refund)
Postponing/moving must be discussed & agreed upon by all relevant parties.
Large Reservations (8-20 Guests)
Final payment due on the day of the reservation.
Exclusive Evening Events
Final payment due 14 Days prior to the event.
The menu & total guest amounts are to be finalised as follows:
• Menu items selected off of the limited À la Carte Menu – 14 days prior to event date
• Menu items selected off of Bespoke Menu – 14 days prior to event date
Restaurant
Intimate & Exclusive Evening Events restricted to the inside of restaurant, restaurant terrace & Grillworks area. No other areas of the building will be included in the venue hire.
Tasting Room
Intimate & Exclusive Evening Events restricted to the reception, tasting room inside and tasting room terrace. No other areas of the building will be included in the venue hire.
You are welcome to bring in your own cake. Our kitchen team will gladly slice it up & plate it after the candles are blown out.
Restaurant: R40/per slice
Tasting Room: R150/per cake
Chilli Shed: R150/per cake
A standard R 2,450.00 transport cost will be charged for events that are held on or between a Sunday-Wednesday.
Standard glassware, ice buckets & serving gear will be supplied. Minimal decor to be supplied by the client. Please note that glitter, confetti & balloons are prohibited. Branding/signs only with prior agreement.
Regrettably, no external catering permitted.
