Ernie Els Big Easy Chenin Blanc 2017
This Big Easy is 100% Chenin Blanc and shimmering in 2017. It shows early promise of another fine Cape vintage that offers elegant ripeness and fine freshness. It is dominated by richly textured, pure fruit of apricots, pineapple and granny smith. More classical notes of lanolin and wet earth lay underneath, adding further complexity and layers. A hint of spice and citrus acidity brings on a long and lively finish.

Ernie Els Big Easy Rosé 2017
The light-bodied Big Easy Rose is pale Salmon in colour, but rich in character and elegant in composure. Produced predominantly from Cinsaut, it offers beautiful fragrance, delicate fruit and a savoury edge. Juicy citrus and dried strawberry lines the palate with and a dash of spice from the Shiraz component making for intriguing and yet uncomplicated drinking. Vibrant, fruity and almost saline, the finish is clean and lip-smackingly fresh.

Ernie Els Big Easy Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
There is more to the Big Easy Cabernet Sauvignon than meets the eye. Alluring cassis fruit and deep fragrance is matched with wonderful drinkability and deft balance. Medium bodied and sleek, notes of red cherry, salted liquorice and grilled beef slowly unfold from the glass. The addition of 15% Cinsaut adds a lightness and a delicate perfume to a softly textured, sweet-fruited palate. It is moderate in alcohol with a lovely freshness, an infusion of mixed berries line a juicy finish.

Ernie Els Big Easy Red Blend 2016
The sublime and lively 2016 vintage shines through in perhaps the best Big Easy yet. A melange of ripe Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon is layered with waves of Grenache, Cinsaut, Mourvèdre and a touch of Viognier. Quite perfumed and fittingly complex, the palate is lined with chocolate, spice and confectionary cherries. A peppery nuance adds further character, all framed by a fine structure and juicy core.

Ernie Els Sauvignon Blanc 2017
The concentrated and highly anticipated 2017 vintage has produced a rich and flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc. Sourced from both Stellenbosch and Philadelphia, there is terrific balance of tropical fruit, cool climate elegance and a mineral structure. Blasts of gooseberries, guava, passionfruit and lime coat your palate in a dance-off between freshness and power. A dash of Semillon complements the palate further, offering a touch of spice and deep texture. A hint of herbs on the finish add further complexity to a charming yet momentous Sauvignon Blanc.

Ernie Els Merlot 2015
The medium bodied 2015 Merlot is a reflection of a truly great vintage, exuding excellent ripeness along with freshness and poise. This wine manages to balance succulent red fruits with a savoury complexity; whiffs of tomato leaf, earth, tobacco and plums almost reminds one of Bordeaux. The palate is more sweet-fruited and juicy however, with cherries and strawberries taking centre stage. The tannins are soft like milk chocolate, supported by firm acidity and a long finish. Perhaps the finest vintage to date!
Alc: 14.64  RS: 3.1  pH: 3.64  TA: 6.3  VA:  TSO2:  FSO2:
Ernie Els Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
A terrific follow up to the profound 2015, this is a pure, regal and pedigreed Cabernet Sauvignon. It shows a black core and crimson edge, offering a brightness to the densely ripe fruit. The decadence on the nose reminds of milk chocolate melted over baked blue-berries, Morello cherries and cream! It is full in body with chalky tannins, imbued by a rich texture and salty liquorice on the finish which delivers finesse and serious length.
Alc: 14.13  RS: 2.96  pH: 3.68  TA: 6.13  VA:  TSO2:  FSO2:
Ernie Els Proprietor's Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Arguably the finest proprietors Cabernet Sauvignon yet, the 2015 is a classically modern expression of this noble variety in all its glory. With a pitch black core and crimson hue, the nose is hauntingly deep and pure. Lead pencil, tomato leaf and scorched earth knit with dense cassis and deft new oak. The palate is backward in its stance, with a refined acidity melding the richly textured tannins and perfumed edge. A tough of salty liquorice, cinnamon stick and hint of vanilla, already show its superior class and complexity. It is elegant and yet structured, best decanted in its youth as it blossoms over the next two decades.
Alc: 14.48  RS: 3.54  pH: 3.75  TA: 6.2  VA:  TSO2:  FSO2:
Ernie Els Proprietor's Syrah 2015
From the stellar 2015 vintage, the Proprietors Syrah immediately shows a deep crimson core and bright purple hue. The nose boasts ripe plums, paired with perfumed aromatics and a whiff of white pepper. A wine with great presence, the palate is inky and bold, laden with blue-berry jam and raspberry compote notes. Hints of charcoal, wet clay, sizzling bacon and star of anise deliver a layered complexity that contrasts the pure fleshy fruit. The finish is towering, building towards a dry, yet focused and rewarding tail.
Alc: 14.66  RS: 3.59  pH: 3.72  TA: 5.93  VA:  TSO2:  FSO2:
Ernie Els Proprietor's Blend 2015
Another 2015 that revels in the incredible vintage and startles the senses is the Proprietors Blend.

A marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz produces an uber concentrated melange of red and black fruits, elegantly framed by the four other Bordeaux varieties. It’s a big wine with a plush fruit core and rich savoury complexity. Notes of fresh organum, dried sage and roast beef gravy give generosity and depth, with the sweet fruit running from start to long finish. The tannins are glossy and finely tuned, offering a modern expression that is raised to a new level in 2015. The finely balanced, structure finish provides the perfect shell for long maturation.
